Comedy Meets Psychedelic Science

TRIPS is a comedy series built specifically around psychedelic experience. The writing, the visuals, the structure of the performance: all designed to reflect and engage the actual phenomenology of altered states.

TRIPS: First Dose, the filmed version, premiered this spring. Shot at Meow Wolf in Denver with 360-degree visuals from 20 psychedelic artists. Unlike any comedy special currently available.

TRIPS: Third Dose is the live chapter, and it is coming to Oakland. One night only. A standalone performance that works whether you have seen the filmed special or not.

During the day on Saturday, Shane joins Pastor Dave Hodges at Spirituality & Beyond for the headliner conversation: “The Hero’s Journey & Beyond.” That talk is included in the main event ticket. The evening show is a separate, ticketed performance.

Shane Mauss has spent the last decade taking psychedelic experience seriously as a subject for comedy. Host of Here We Are, a podcast with more than 400 episodes featuring scientists, researchers, and thinkers exploring consciousness. He completed a MAPS-sponsored national tour bridging comedy and psychedelic science. His credits include Comedy Central, Amazon, and Conan. He has been building toward TRIPS for years.
